Anniversary Trip, day 1.

Last year on our honeymoon, we swore we were going to come back to Mexico the following year if there were "no kids" yet. Well, the stars did not align for that one, and instead we last minute planned a trip to Chicago for the weekend. So is life!

With our lifestyles lately, anytime together is so very blessed and we cherish every single second. We spent Thursday driving down to Chicago, and stopped at one of the big malls along the way. A few stops to Macy's, Lord & Taylor, and Forever21 later, it was time to go and check into the hotel. Our hotel was breathtaking, seriously. The room was just as big as our suite in Mexico, walk in shower and all. I highly recommend The Champagne Lodge if you need a romantic get-away.

Thursday night, we decided to drive 15 minutes into this quaint little town for some Mexican. The food, great. Service, not so much. But it didn't matter to us, our company was what really mattered. Insert a super cheesy "awwwww."

After dinner. We packed separate the day before, had no idea we were gonna match.

That night we watched a movie in our 100+ gallon Jacuzz. Yeah, that happened. We may have been prunes when we got out, but when in Rome, right? I wish I had a jacuzz in my house. Get on that Mr ;) We called it an early night since we had to be up so early for our next adventure... downtown Chicago!
