It really is hard to believe that time is flying by and M is already 2 months old. She changes every single day and it's become so fun to wake up every morning and see what grabs her interest.
This face! I die!
Weight: We don't have our 2 month appointment until next week, but we did go in at 6 weeks for some reflux issues, and she was just 8 pounds!
Size: She is getting so long! She was 21 inches, last checked, and keeps growing! It's the leg part of her clothing that keeps riding up. Speaking of, we just started wearing size 1 diapers this week! It was newborn for the longest time. M is in 3 month clothing as well. There's maybe 3 newborn outfits she still fits into.
Sleeping: M is doing awesome! I feel like we are really, really spoiled. She is still in her snug-a-puppy, but we are hoping to start the crib transition this weekend. Last week, she started sleeping 5-6 hours a night and we totally chalked it up to a growth spurt. However, it didn't seem to be a fluke as it's still continuing! At night we normally go for a walk after dinner, followed by a bath (more on that below), bottle, and then bed. She's normally out by 9, 9:30 and sleeps until 4. Quick bottle, fed by E normally, and then she's back to sleep until 8 or so. During the day, she takes another nap around 11 or so, and then will normally take a short, I mean short, 20 minute cat nap about 4, 4:30. Either way, Mommy and Daddy are getting some sleep and we love it!
Feeding: Little girl loves to eat! And if her bottle isn't ready when she is, oh man do we hear it! She's normally eating about 3-4 oz a day, 6-7 feedings a day. I am still trying to EP, but we do supplement about a few formula feedings a day.
What she's doing: Moving, moving, moving! CONSTANTLY! The 2 pictures above were a series of 12, and almost every single one was blurry with her moving somehow. Her legs are constantly going, and everybody who meets her swear she's the noisiest baby they have met. Between the grunts, the squeals, and the constant chatter, she cracks us right up.
* Bathtime is her favorite time! The minute she's in the water, her eyes get so wide and she becomes so calm and relaxed. Her legs kick the whole time, I swear we're going to have a swimmer on our hands, and she coos the whole time. Bath time is normally Daddy/M time, and I normally get the snuggles to warm her up afterwards. With that head of hair, we've also started blow drying it after her bath. It puts her right to sleep!
* Car rides are another favorite. She starts cooing and squealing as soon as we put her in the car seat. If we go for a walk, she looks around for half of it before falling asleep. In the car, the minute we connect the car seat, she's out. I've lucked out with quite an excellent shopping partner!
* Her favorite toy is by far her activity gym. Those legs go, the smiles are abundant, and she's now starting to reach up for the toys.
Milestones:
* We rolled over at 7 weeks from our front to our back.
* Seeing far enough to notice when Mommy and Daddy aren't right next to her. Man, she lets us know how she feels about that...!
* Recognizing Mommy and Daddy. Her face lights up the minute she recognizes either of us and she reaches her arms out in our direction.
* Cooing more and more.
* Non-stop smiles, especially while we're changing her diaper or while being outside.
* She loves blankets! She is holding them to her face, and when we burp her, she grabs the rag after and wont let go.
* She's getting so strong! Tummy time isn't completely our favorite, but when she lays on our chest she pushes herself up completely.
